The standard battery I believe is 950mAH and definitely should last more than 6 hours but just like any batteries, when it gets old, you are not getting the full charge. So, if you get the same size battery again, it will definitely last more than 6 hours. If you decide to get the extended life batter, which I believe is like 1400mAH, basically you are getting like 1 1/2 times more than the standard size battery.
