Enabling mp3 playback after newer versions of software on LG phones
PHONES: lg8100, lg9800 (the V), Lg8300
After software upgrades the phones as i've mentioned in other location in this forum lose the ability to play mp3 music and will only play wma. here is how to fix that.
After the software has been done...
1. From the home screen press MENU + 0
2. enter security code 000000 (unless you changed it at some point)
3. find "music settings"
4. select mp3+mod
5. press red "end" key. (phone may powercycle depending on model)
thats it, the backdoor way to keep your phone at its full functionality with regards to music
