SET-UP YOUR DEVICE WITH BLUETOOTH
  1. Open System Preferences by navigating through the Apple Menu, then selecting System Preferences.

  2. Click Bluetooth.

  3. If Bluetooth Power is off, select Turn Bluetooth On. Ensure that the Discoverable checkbox is checked, then click Devices.
    • To verify that Bluetooth is turned on, look for one of the following icons in the top right corner of your desktop:

      On:
      Off:

  4. Click Set Up New Device.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Place the handset in discovery mode (see Make Your Device Discoverable for instructions). Choose Mobile phone, then click Continue.

  7. Select the name of your handset when it appears, then click Continue.

  8. Click Continue.

  9. On the handset, follow the prompts to enter the passkey displayed on the screen below.
NOTE: passkey will be different from the one shown here.

  10. Ensure Access the Internet with your phone's data connection is selected then click Continue.

NOTE: Ensure that Use a direct, higher speed connection to reach your Internet Service Provider (GPRS, 1xRTT) is selected before clicking Continue.

  11. Username, Password or other settings on this screen are not required, just click Continue. VZAccess Manager will ask for this information later in the setup process.

  12. Click Quit on the "Conclusion" screen.

  13. Click the red close button in the upper left corner to close "System Preferences".

Your handset is now paired to the laptop via Bluetooth and should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.
