I used BitPim to copy a few MP3 songs directly to my phone as ringtones without converting them to wav files first. If you try the
Play Clip feature before you reduce the play time to 30 seconds or so and click
set, the program stops responding for about 10 minutes then it will resume. I suspect the bigger the song the longer it will freeze. If you use the
Play Position button it doesn't freeze up. I didn't have any trouble with my phone freezing up at all but BitPim will turn the phone off after the transfer.
