Verizon's LG Voyager
At 4.6 inches long, a trifle over 2 inches wide and almost 3/4th of an inch thick, the Voyager weighs a little more more than 4 1/2 ounces. That's roughly the same length and weight as the iPhone, but a little narrower and not as deep.
LG Voyager has 2 color screens instead of one.One when the phone is flipped open across the lateral cross section and the other outside of the case which is an attractive 2.8-inch LCD that's touch-sensitive, like the iPhone's, but slightly smaller.
One nice Voyager feature that the iPhone lacks is feedback: When you tap the screen, you feel a vibration to acknowledge your request. The other inner screen in Voyager flips open to reveal another color screen inside, sitting above a QWERTY keypad that makes messaging e-mail, text and web browsing much simpler and easier than the iPhone's on-screen keyboard.
A pull-out antenna turns the Voyager into a real-time TV set that receives eight channels of network and sports programming over Verizon's Vcast mobile television network (add $13 to $15 a month).A few more clicks and the Voyager tunes into Verizon's VZ Navigator GPS mapping and direction service(add a little more precious green a month).
Voyager does also offer you a full-scale Web browser, nationwide broadband Internet access and especially if you want it cheap.Apart from making it easy to send and receive mail from Web-based services such as gmail or from individual POP3 accounts with other providers. If you're pushed by any necessity, you can even have e-mail "pushed" to the phone regularly, like a BlackBerry.
Another aspect where the iPhone is left behind is - Verizon's third-generation data network, which normally operates in the 300 megabit per second range, about four times faster than the older AT&T network that the iPhone operates on.
Now to see what the voyager lacks is, First, it lacks one important common feature it won't synchronize its calendar or contact list with a PC.
And,There is less than 1GB of memory available for music, you will have to add a micro-SD memory card to make it usable more diversly.
And the cost we all know about it, the prices of both the iphone and the voyager. So there is nothing much that i can comment on that, its all known.
So, Finally,Since Verizon has the most reliable network, and the Voyager's keyboard, e-mail capability and access to other Internet and other features make it a good buy.Rather Great buy.
