I've had similar problems and only limited success. I can use the usb cable to have the phone act as a modem, using the generic usb driver that came with the cable. (At that point, use either QuickLink or just any other modem software that accesses the phone just like any land line.) I can move music files by using Windows explorer. (After connecting the cable, on the phone go to GET IT NOW, MUSIC & TONES, SYNC MUSIC. After a few seconds, the phone will appear on the computer's Windows Explorer as a new drive. But only the music directory appears, so this doesn't help for videos, ring tones, contacts, etc. You can move mp3 files back and forth then with Windows Explorer and don't have to go thru the full sync process.) However, I have had zero luck with PC studio. Bitpim recognizes it as a generic CMDA phone, but has zero capabilities to do anything. If anyone has a clue how to get PC studio to work, I'd sure like to hear it.
