I've just joined and I posted asking for help to get a ringtone to my wife's phone. A few folks posted, telling me how to use my music essentials kit or the bitpim program. The directions were too vague to be helpful.
By chance, I stopped into the general discussion thread and found a post about free ringtones. I went there (
http://www.myxertones.com/) and found a way to upload the mp3 from my computer. I then sent it to my wife's phone and she had it in seconds. I sent her several others from the same site and they all worked beautifully!
If you are having trouble getting ringtones to your phone, I would recommend visiting that site.
