Cant get a working verizon wireless voyager phone
To Whom this may concern:
My Name is Buzzdar and i have been a verizon wireless customer for about 3 years now and this past november i got one of the first Verizon Wireless Voyager phones. When i got it i thought it was one of the greatest phone that verizon wireless had. This is the thought i have had up until about 2 weeks ago when i started having a problem with the phone restarting. I would trouble shoot the problem with verizon wireless tech support. They would tell me nothing is wrong with the phone and they could send me a new REFURIBISHED one at no cost to me since its still with in the ONE Year Warrenty. But i would need to take it to a local Corp store and have them look at it first. So i took it to a corp store and they i dont think even knew what to do to even test it and looked at the phone and said we will just send you a REFURBISHED one. This was on a wednesday evening and it was gonna be shipped to be via fed ex 2 day shipping and i figured that i would get the phone before the weekend. To my suprise 2 day fedex means i wont get the phone until Monday afternoon a whole 5 days after the phone was ordered. So i thought i could just deal with that but when i opened the box it was only a Phone no new battery no nothing. So when i called to activate this phone i asked vzw if this was standard and they said YES. You will never get a new battery with a warrenty replacement from them. So now i have the phone activated and i start to make calls right away since the battery From my old phone was already charged. Well now i am attempting to make my first calls from the newer phone and what happens... It starts doing the same restart of the phone. Turns itself off and then back on even if its in the middle of a call. So i call vzw once again to ask if this is a know problem and they tell me they have never herd of this problem with this phone. Now i am asking why i cant get a Brand new phone and im told its not there policy to give a new phone replacement for warrenty issues so i said ok. So now i am calling LG to get there take on this matter. After talking to LG they tell me it is NOT Verizon Wireless policy or even the policy of LG to give refurbished phones for warranty replacements. BUT its the policy of the cell phone industry to give me a used phone. Thats all it is is a used phone you can call a different phone a refurbished but in the end its a used phone with Reinstalled software thats it. To me since they are resetting everything inside the phone including the amount of called made and received. what is the point of this counter if they are resetting this everytime the phone is sent in as junk and replaced as refurbished. How can you give me something as refurbished when in turn this is only a USED phone.
To me that would be like every time someone takes a car in for service and they add or change something they reset the odometer and if they did that it would be illegal.
