For most of the LG phones, there is a program called bitpim that gives you access to phone's internal memory and files. Last I heard, the support for LG Dare isn't there yet or is just about there. You might want to check into that. It's at

One warning though. It will most likely invalidate your warranty if Verizon found out you were messing with it so you are on your own if something goes wrong. Unless you are familiar with this type of software, I wouldn't mess with it.
