Common Features

Recording Messages and Introductions
Visual Voice Mail lets you record a message when replying to or composing a new voice mail message. When you forward a message, Visual Voice Mail lets you record an introduction. To begin, press Record.
  • The Record Message screen is shown. Press Record to record your message.

  • Press Stop to stop recording. Visual Voice Mail will let you review your message.

  • Press Play and Pause to control playback.

  • Selecting Cancel from the Options menu will return you to the Reply, Forward, or Compose Voice Mail screen without saving your recorded message.

  • Selecting Re-record will return you to the Record Message screen.

Selecting Message Priority and Sensitivity
  1. You can specify the priority and sensitivity of an outgoing message by pressing Options from the Reply, Forward, or Compose Voice Mail screens after you have added the recipients or after you have recorded your message.

  2. From the Options menu, select Priority or Sensitivity and press OK. Visual Voice Mail will return to the screen. (Press Options again to make a selection from the other category.)
  3. If you have selected High priority or Private, your message will be marked with your priority or sensitivity selection in the recipient’s Inbox.
  4. Marking a message as Private will prevent the recipient from forwarding it.

NOTE: If a message is marked both High priority and Private, it will be marked as High priority. Visual Voice Mail will still recognize the message as Private and not present the Forward option.
