Accessing Voice Mail Messages without Using Visual Voice Mail
Traditional Voice Mail is still available when you subscribe to Visual Voice Mail. Just dial *86 to access the Voice Mail system and play your messages.

Changing your Password
Dial *86 to access the Voice Mail system and follow the prompts to change your password. The next time you launch Visual Voice Mail, you will be asked to enter your new password.

NOTE: Once you enter your PIN through Visual Voice Mail it is stored within the application. This means that anyone in possession of your handset can access your voice mail messages that are stored on you handset.

Airplane/Stand Alone Mode
When in Airplane/ Stand Alone Mode, Visual Voice Mail can:
  • Play messages already loaded to your phone,
  • Archive the messages on your phone.
  • Change your Inbox sort order.
  • Erase messages.
  • Clear your message counter.
However, you cannot send or retrieve messages while the device is in Airplane/ Stand Alone mode.
Receiving Calls while Using Visual Voice Mail
If you answer a call while Visual Voice Mail is active, Visual Voice Mail will resume when you end the call. You may also ignore the call and continue with Visual Voice Mail.

If you answer the call while recording an outgoing message, you may need to re-record your message.

Receiving New Voice Mail Messages When the Phone’s Memory Is Full
If there is not enough space available on the device to download a new message, Visual Voice Mail removes enough older messages to make space for the new message. Messages that have been removed are still available through *86.

Visual Voice Mail Alerts
Visual Voice Mail alerts you to new Voice Mail messages and PIN changes whether or not the application is running. New Messages When you receive a new message, you may:
  • View Now — Opens the Visual Voice Mail Inbox.

  • View Later — Closes the alert screen.
  • Dial *86 — Accesses standard Voice Mail.
Note: If you receive a new message while using Visual Voice Mail, a New Messages icon appears at the top right of the Inbox. Use the Check New Messages option to retrieve it.

PIN Change
After you change your PIN using *86, Visual Voice Mail will alert you that your Visual Voice Mail PIN is out of sync with your traditional Voice Mail account. If you receive this message when you are launching Visual Voice Mail, you may:
  • Set Now — Opens the Visual Voice Mail Inbox and asks you to re-enter your PIN.
  • Set Later — Closes the alert screen.
  • Dial *86 — Accesses standard Voice Mail.
If your PIN is changed while Visual Voice Mail is active, you will be asked to close the application and log in again.
