Blitz Chaperone Child Not Activating
A challenge to all technicians! Tell me how to activate the Chaperone Child feature on the new Verizon Blitz. I have spent hours on the phone and the Verizon staff are friendly but none of them can help me get the Chaperone application running. I have “Location Enabled” the phone. The phone can send/receive data. When I visit the site chaperone.vzw.com and login with the Parent phone account a screen appears asking me to “activate” the phone. When I try to activate the Blitz phone, the time counter “Detecting Phone” counts up on the website to a maximum of two minutes. At that point it fails and says the activation was unsuccessful. I suspect the Chaperone application is not properly installed on the phone. I tried to install from the Verizon website but under Features/Downloads the application will not go to the phone stating it is not compatible with my model. If I go to Get New Applications on the phone itself, no Chaperone option is there under any category. Some technicians speculate the application must be preloaded on the phone and others claim I need to download it. No technician can tell me where or how to download the Chaperone application to the phone. So… questions are: 1. On the Blitz, is the Chaperone application pre-installed? 2. If not, how do I download it to the phone? 3. If the application is pre-loaded, why can’t I Activate the phone via chaperone.vzw.com? At this stage the Verizon staff decided to call around to local stores to see if anyone could help. I am not criticizing customer service at all , but they do not seem to have much training on the Blitz.
