It looks like Verizon has disabled MP3 from Samsung A930.

Here are some hints that you may or may not find useful.

--
Q: Thats great, but I want to play MP3's!
A: You can convert the ones you want to play on the phone into WMA's with dbPowerAmp (What I do). You can also go into the second level hidden menu and play MP3's that way (Menu -> Settings & Tools -> # -> 0000000 -> 0 -> 8886573982 -> MP3)

Q: Thats an ***-backward way to play MP3's! Can you unlock the MP3 player so I don't have to do all that?
A: I know, but Verizon disabled the MP3 player! I have tried the unlocking steps in here (just use the 950 profile - it works) - everything works ok when you're opening the menu and unlocking the hidden menu, but there is no option anywhere to enable the MP3 player!

Q: What hidden menus are there and what are the access codes?
A: Note menus 3 and 4 and maybe 5 are only available after you unlock them - see previous question on how to do that.
1. Menu -> Settings & Tools -> # -> 0000000
2. Menu -> Settings & Tools -> # -> 0000000 -> 0 -> 8886573982
3. Menu -> Get it now -> 0 -> (last 4 digits of your number)
4. Menu -> Get it now -> # -> (last 4 digits of your number)
5. Messaging -> Settings -> Pix-Flix -> * -> 930667
