Default Extracting the pictures from camera phone

Is there a way to extract the pictures from the camera phone without going through the air and paying for sending the picture to another phone/e-mail address?

For phones without the external memory, I would assume it's impossible without the cable.

For phone with external memory, can you somehow save the pictures to the external memory so you can copy to your PC?

I never used the cable so I can't comment on it but I assume you can tfr from Phone to pc via the usb cable.

I use the external card. Any pics (and probably flix) stored on the phone can be tfrd to the card and then place the card into your computer slot (using the adapter of course) and tfr'd to the pc.

I have done this with pix and flix.
For flix, Qtime will play back audio and video.
Not sure of other pc software, though.

Do you know how you can save the picture in the external card? It seem the pictures taken with the camera are stored in the internal memory by default and not sure how to move it from internal memory to the external card. Once you have it in the external card, you can connect to your laptop or PC to extract the pictures.

In my phone (LG VX-8100), when you go to My Pix or My Flix, you can press the Option button and it gives you an option to save to a card. (It gives a warning that it will be removed from the phone though)

I haven't actually moved the pictures to the card but it appears you can.

if you go to your settings you can select the memory option and mark/unmark all pictures and videos and sounds from your phone at one time and move them to the card. it is way easier than the method you described.

stores with technicians have the ability to move pictures out of non memory card phones provided they are going to the same phone for a warranty replacement. They dont normally like to talk about it but they can do it if you are persistent enough.

verizon wirelss store locations are getting a new phone book transfer machine called the UME36 vs the current ume24. the difference is it will move your contacts, pictures, and from the sounds of it ring tones. I'll know for sure when the stores get them but they have been eluded to. I'll confirm or deny the pictures and ringtones when i try it.
