Hey, I was just playing with my LG VX8300 music player, if you hold the button down (either forward or backward) it will scan through the track. You need to watch the time display, and you will see it move back or forth.

Again, *hold* the button to scan through the track, hit it once to step to the next track.

That's good to know. Didn't know that option existed. Of course, it might be mentioned in the manual somewhere but who reads it?

Usually most hardware media players do that. Unless they have seperate Scan buttons and Track buttons.

I tried it on my VX8600 and it also works great, too.
