Default Interesting feature...

I'm hoping to find out more about a "feature" that I used to have on my phone but for some reason does not appear to be working anymore.

The feature is a tone that lets other callers know that you are talking to someone else. It is somewhat affiliated with call waiting, but the tone is not for the person receiving the call, rather the person making the call.

I loved this feature because there are times when I'm on the phone and then someone else calls me. I want them to know that I'm talking to someone else so that they simply hang up or just leave a message instead of continually trying to call me.

Can anyone tell me how this "feature" is activated or deactivated? Is there a formal name for this feature?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hello,

I believe you can activate this via voice mail settings
Make sure you have call waiting activated on your account
