Text Messaging

What is considered to be a text message?

I know it's text only, but do facebook and twitter texts count as
text messages and are covered in the "unlimited text messaging"?
We've got the 700 mins Family Shared Select plan. (2 lines)

I've looked through the threads to find any kind of answer that
would clarify it for me, I even checked out the Verizon wireless
website to look over their terms...nothing's really clear on it.

Just want to know before I activate this in my accounts, lol.

I think text message is only SMS (short message service).

Sending pictures or videos are considered MMS (multi media service).

Any type of browsing internet sites are data services.
