The way that data is now supported such as ring back tones, vznav or mobile web is that it gets deducted off of your minutes. For example if you are on the $70 for 700 minutes and subscribe to ring backs then the $1 subscription comes out of the $70 you already pay and you are left with 690 minutes for that month to use as a dollar's worth of minutes is used on the ring back cost. Its an interesting way to do it but the only real way make sure people without a contract pay for the service

I like knowing that when I get my family plan that I will be able to get my kids a prepay phone that will have free unlimited IN minutes. So that they aren't wasting their minutes when they call me or their mom. But I won't have to put them in a contract when they will only use their phone for about 3 months a year. lol.

Still, you won't be able to stop them from talking to their friends who's not IN.....

Sure I can. The phone is for emergencies and for when they are home alone. They are not allowed to use the phone for other purposes.
