Issue With Music Essentials for CDM8945

Hi,

When I try to install the software for the phone, this is what happens:

1. I do insall #1, and after the drivers install it tells me to plug in the USB cable.

2. I try to install the "setup vcast music" portion, and it says that it "faileld to install ISKernel files. Make sure you have appropriate privaleges on the machine."

I don't know what to do from there; I tried downloading the software from the site but I have Vista and it won't work.

Upon further inspection, it seems that this software is the only one that doesn't work with Vista. Typical.

Different question then: is there a way for my Vista computer to recognize my phone without the software installed? Also, is there a way to upload music to my phone and make it a ringtone, instead of just having a song on there I can't do anything with?

And finally, is there any way I can get rid of the ring tones that come with the phone that I don't use?
