Default How to upload a new ringtone to your phone

If your phone supports external card, the easier way is to put the new ring tone in the external card and plug it into the phone.

Using the setting menu, change the ringer section and choose the ring tone you would like.

If your phone does not support external card (like my CDM-9900), you can still upload the new ringtone to your phone by sending yourself an e-mail with attachement. To do so, you send an e-mail with the ringer attachement to yournumber@vzwpix.com. After you receive the message, go to Option and Save the message as Ringer. Now, the ringtone is in your media gallery or My Music section.

Using the setting menu, change the ringer setting and choose the ringtone you would like.

(Receiving this type of message will cost you $0.25 per message. Still cheaper than purchasing it from Verizon)

Are you using the card or e-mail?

Do you have the data cable? Have you tried BitPM?

Ok so my LG needs MP3s for ringtones. I'm not used to that. So I'm making tons of ringers lol.

try using BitPim to develop the ringtone then send to card and it should work. I'll let you know if it does for me.

Is there a guide on how to create a ringtone from an mp3? If not, what format should I be converting the mp3 to for the new Voyager?

Thanks!

Nope, certainly haven't! I just assumed that wouldn't work, since I put music onto my phone (before I got the microSD card) and that wouldn't let me set it as a ringtone, only use the musicplayer to play it...

I had just assumed there was some other format I needed to use. Let me try that I guess.

I think you also have to shrink the mp3 file to certain size and length to be used as a ringtone. Something like 30 seconds?
