OK, guys.

I finally upgraded my phone today.

I waited for Samsung a990 price to drop for the past 4 months but the price hasn't changed so I got the LG VX8600.

Give me some time to get used to it and I'll post review and any new tricks I find.

you made a good choice. I have been a motorola fan since before i joined verizon wireless and have only owned them and only recommended them (except for my samsung for the camera) but when my dad just joined verizon less than a month ago, i told him to get your phone. Its got a nice display, and has a good, solid feel to it. nice choice

I don't know if you found this out yet but if you are in a call you can press the button on the right side of your phone up and it will turn speakerphone on. My dad apparently read the manual and couldn't find it, so it may be something worth mentioning just in case anyone else is having problems finding it.

If you are going to buy a music essential kit you have to make sure that the lg8600 is specifically listed. Some reps without knowing will sell you the one for the vx8500 (chocolate) but that one has a slightly different port which makes the stereo headphones not work. There is a sticker on the top of the box that says what phones work with it so keep in mind regardless of the fact that the port looks the same, it isn't so get the correct kit

Yeah. It took me a while but found the speaker on button. And the music essential works with LG VX-8600.
