Default Changes to New Every Two

Verizon is changing the New Every Two program.

Instead of the usual $100 credit after you've had your service for 2 years, now they are adding a qualifier.

If your voice plan fee is more than $79.99 for the 3 months leading to phone upgrade, they will still give you $100 credit.

If your voice plan fee is between $34.99 and $79.98 for the 3 months leading to phone upgrade, they will only give you $50 credit.

This new change is effective Feb 5, 2006. (I think it's a typo - they probably meant to say 2007)

Good thing today, February 3rd, is my "New Every Two" day.

I will be leaving for the Verizon store soon to get my new LG VX8600!
I had called the store earlier to ask some questions, and I will get the $100 credit.

This is also my first post. HI
I have been researching(stalking)the LG VX8600 for some time now.
I have ringtones, wallpapers and short videos ready to go!
I also bought a Kingston 1GB microSD card, just waiting to be formatted.

For videos I've been playing with "SUPER", "NOKIA MULTIMEDIA PLAYER", "ACALA DVD 3GP RIPPER", and "NERO RECODE".
I'll post results of these programs.

For wallpapers I have been resizing pictures to 176x184 using
"ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 3"

Got to go.

Sounds good. You'll love the phone.

One major downside - the caller id is too small on the outside LCD. Other than that, it's a great phone.

It's your online account.

After you get your verizon account number, you can use it to log on to verizon website where you can see the minutes used, back up your contacts, and also order accessories and upgrade your phone.

Feb 5, 2006 date refers to when you signed up. So, if you signed up before that date, then you get $100 credit for NE2. If you signed up later than that date, then it's either $50 credit or $100 depends on whether your monthly is greater than $79.99 or not.

Here is the official rule from Verizon.
New Every TwoŽ Program*

If you enrolled in the program prior to February 5, 2006 and continued to meet the requirements of the program, you will be eligible for a free phone up to $100, or a credit of up to $100 toward a more expensive phone, when you become eligible for your next New Every Two upgrade (after which time you will be enrolled in the $50/$100 New Every Two program described below).

If you enrolled in the program on February 5, 2006 or after you will qualify for a free phone up to a $50 or $100 value, depending on the monthly access of your plan. If your calling plan monthly access is $79.99 or higher for the entire three months prior to completing your New Every Two phone upgrade, you will get up to $100.00 toward the purchase of a new phone. If your calling plan monthly access was between $34.99 and $79.98 at any time during the three months prior to completing your New Every Two phone upgrade, you will get up to $50.00 toward the purchase of a new phone.
