Chocolate 3 and Bitpim (do ringtones work?)

I'm about to upgrade to a Chocolate 3, but I want to make sure that I can use full quality mp3s as ringtones.

On the bitpim website it says that it can not make use of ringtone files stored on the SD card. However on the phone list and on the phone info page it says that there is Read/Write capability for ringtones.

Does this mean that only mp3 files stored on the phone's internal memory can be used as ringtones? (this would be fine)

Can anyone with a Chocolate 3 confirm this?

Hi,

What this means is that you may not be able to use a memory card in the memory card slot for the Chocolate 3, but you can buy the cable (it may even come with it), and import them onto the phone. There's a small fee, but it's the only way to do this.

I've played with bitpim on other phones but not on Chocolate 3 to confirm. My guess is it should still work, but since you have the phone and the bitpim, only you can know for sure.

I've put in my own ringtone by using my Verizon email to send it to my phone. It then asks how I want to store it.
