Question Using The Micro SD Card

I just got my Dare today...way happy with it. I have a question or 10 tho..

1) I put the micro SD card in (came free with the phone - 8GB) and now XP is saying it doesn't recognize the USB device.

2) How can I drag stuff onto the card with it still in the phone or should I just use my reader?

3) I can't find this anywhere on the site...but I signed up for the $139.99 unlimited everything (what they said)..do I get the ESPN and Vcast for free? Not too worried about ESPN, but when I go to Vcast it says I have to pay for each video.

4) How do you IM with this phone?

**/edit..

OK, figured out the IM thing. I'd like to know how to get pics from my computer over to the phone. I formatted the card with the phone too.

Thanx..

Yeah, it's probably easier to use the card reader rather than connect the phone with the memory card.

ESPN is free is you already have the Vpak and looks like you do. VCast videos (some) are per video no matter what plans you have. The unlimited part gives you the free airtime to download them, but they charge you for the content of the video.

Them boneheads! I talked to a CSR yesterday and he said everything was free. I even brought up the $2.49 price and he said don't worry about it, it'll be credited to you.

I should have learned by now I guess.

A handy trick to do when speaking with a CSR...record it. From the moment the CSR gives the standard "Thank you for calling Verizon, blah, blah, my name is: " hit the center hard key and record the whole flipping transaction. That way when you subsequently find out that the CSR screwed the pooch with incorrect information you have a record of what was said and when. Very handy when you want to get a credit for monies spent based on that incorrect information.

That being said, I never go to the Verizon store for anything. I deal exclusively with 611 CSRs. They are more knowledgeable than the Store drones and have far more power to make changes. If you get wrong information and can document remember you can escalate the call to a supervisory tech.
