Problem with texting

Hello,

I just transferred from AT&T to Verizon Wireless (thank God!) and there is no problems with accessing the internet and/or sending and receiving calls. The problem is that I am not able to send or receive text messages and it has been 3 days since they set-up the account (I want to use my unlimited messaging). Whenever I try to send a message, the phone prompts with an error: Message is not sent: Service unavailable?

Any information in response to my problem would be helpful...

Have you tried the customer service? Call *611 from your phone. It's free and doesn't use up your minutes. Sometimes, it needs to be cleared from their end for messaging to work.

Thank you. I called and for some reason my texting was disabled on my phone. There will be many happy days of texting in my near future!
