VENUS.....A to Z .... everything( specs + reviews)
First lets go through the specifications of the venus and lets see what it has got to offer.
The LG Venus is a CDMA dual band operating on the frequecies 800/1900 MHz with 3G support.
The size ,comparable to any leading mobile in the market at present. It is '101.6 x 51 x 16' mm and weighs 3.8 oz (108 g).Now that is quite desirable.
Lets check out how the battery holds up, It can hold up a talk time of 240 mins and a standby time of 480 days.
Lets see whats the display like,Main 2 inch Display resolution 240 x 320 pixels, 262,144 colors, TFT display.
The camera the venus sports is 2.0 megapixels Resolution camera with a video resolution of Video 320 x 240 pixels combined with a 2x digital zoom, nothing much to boast about here.
it does not have a flash, which should have been included.I mean its like having a digital camera with you which works only during the day.
Now the video playback details,The venus can play WMV, MP4, 3GP, 3G2 video formats and MP3, WMA, AAC, & AAC+ formats supported by its music player.
To store the music, the phone has a builtin memory of 64 MB,I know that doesn't sound great but its also got a microSD/microSDHC memory slot which should solve the memory issues.
The phone has a bluetooth,USB connectivity,1.2 stereo bluetooth,a headset jack connector of 2.5mm standard.
Now i don't need to mention the voice dialling, voice commands, speaker phone functionalities as they are almost inevitable in any phone manufactured in today's market.
The voice command/recognition is really terrific thus far and doesn't require a verbal confirmation from the user as older versions of the software do.And a miscue with the voice commands almost do not happen.
Oh yes and did i mention BREW and GPS.
Ah thats a lot of specifications. And thats good, its a decent functionality packed into a phone and my should i mention that it looks good too.
On the whole with all the specs and the functions the phone i would say its a good, a decent buy.
