Default Help with syncing music from PC to the Venus

Hello. I just got my new Venus phone the other day. For the last 2 days I have been trying to add music from my PC and to sync the phone with the PC. I have followed all directions step by step to the letter and it just won't work. I used the disk that came with the phone to install V Cast Music Manager. When I get to the point where I have to plug in the USB cable to my PC, I do that and then connect to the phone and my connection is immediately terminated. Unfortunately, I have dialup, which is connected with a serial port modem. I get the little pop up box saying new hardware was detected and I follow all the steps for that to install, but the phone always shows a connection failure and when I try to sync, it says that my phone is not connected. Then I get into this vicious cycle of found new hardware, must reboot, problem occurred during installation and device may not work properly (uh, yeah!), blah blah blah. I have gotten 2 device manager error codes (31 & 45). I spent hours yesterday and today, installing, rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting.... but to no avail.

I noticed that one of the things it keeps installing is something like LGE CDMA USB Modem (don't hold me to that exactly, I've already uninstalled it) and I'm wondering if because I am on dialup and already have a modem installed if that might be causing the problem. 2 modems show up in the device manager. The LG one and the one I use to connect with(Zoom External V92 Voice Faxmodem). My current modem, however, is connected through the serial port and not through the USB hub. I also get a yellow triangle with a black ! in device manager next to MTP device. Argh, I'm so frustrated. HELP!!!! Please? I should mention that I'm using Windows XP, I guess.

**Updating** Decided to try one last time for today. Have gotten 2 new device manager error codes (1 & 18). Still having the same problem. I have noticed that when the cable is connected to the phone, the LGE CDMA USB Modem shows under Modems in device manager. I also see under Ports that LGE CDMA Serial Port (COM3) is showing? WTHeck? I haven't connected anything to a serial port that has to do with the phone. Also under USB Controllers is listed LGE CDMA Composite USB Device. ??? As soon as I disconnect the cable from the phone, anything to do with an LGE Modem disappears from device manager. I continue to get the message on the phone "Connect Failure. Please check your cable connection to the PC" The connection is fine, I've checked. Numerous times. I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world, but this has got to be a problem with the phone and/or USB cable. I've followed the directions exactly every time.

I also had a bit of trouble using the cable and the Vcast manager to sync with the phone. The best ways is to use the micro SD. I believe the phone will create the folders for you once you stick it in. Once you have done that, just click and drag your MP3's in and thats it. I recommend getting the biggest Micro SD that will work with your phone. I got a 1GB and now it is not enough. Good Luck.

Default Lg venus sync solution

hello, i too was having the problem with syncing the lg venus phone to my comp. This worked for me and i hope it works for anyone that comes across this post. First download the necessary drivers for the phone. Next connect the phone to the computer and attempt to sync, you should get cannot sync bla bla. Ok now go to add remove programs in the control panel and search for anything that has to do with LG and uninstall them. Now try to re-sync the phone. Your comp should pop-up something trying to have you locate drives for a modem, just cancel that. Now your computer should recognize and allow you to transfer songs to your phone. Enjoy and i hope this helps.

Edit: sorry, apparently something screwed up, but i managed to fix it. Before you attempt to sync the phone the second time access the device manager page (control panel-->system-->hardware-->device manager) and then attempt to sync, you should see, under portable devices, (LG-VX8800) or something similar. now right click uninstall the LG-VX8800 device. it should attempt to re-sync and should connect. sorry again for and confusion.
