Problem LG Venus

I have been having a problem with hearing the people I call from my cell phone. They can hear me talking, but I cannot hear them. I had someone call my cell phone from a land line and the same thing happened they could hear me talk, but I could not hear them. If I wait a couple minutes and try it again my phone works just fine. Has anyone had this problem? I took the phone back and they replaced it with a new one and the problem still exist.

How many bars of signal do you have? I have the same phone and havn't had that issue. Try updating to the newest software, I think its version 2 now, also do *228 option 1. It doesn't sound like your phone is the problem, it sounds more like a network issue, coverage. My guess is that your covering the mic, or your in a bad service area. Have you triend to make a call from a different location in your town? Try that and msg back here and let me know.

I am having the same problem. I got my Pink Venus last wednesday (5-07-08) and i notice a few times that everything would be fine then the person on the other line could here my fine but i couldnt hear them. If i hang up and call back then it was ok again. Also about 2 days ago i was talking on the phone when it turned off and i couldnt get it to turn back on until i took out the battery and put it back in...the battery was dead but when i plugged in the charger it still didnt do anything until i took out the battery. The phone and battery where not hot or anything..The phone i was using was one of verizons free phones and i NEVER had a problem with signal or sound or anything. But with the venus, on top of the 2 problems i already listed i also drop ALOT of calls.
I was just debating with my husband on whether or not to return it for another Venus or just to go back to the previous phone that i still have.

You have 30 days to try as many different phones as you like so if you really like Venus and maybe it's only that particular one that doesn't work, go ahead and try another Venus. If it still doesn't work out for you, you can always go back to a different phone. Try to do this within the first 30 days though.

May be your phone, cause mine works great I even asked my g/f while I was talking to her on the phone if she could hear me good.. she said yes and she also told me that she could hear me better than when I had the vx8300.. I even tried the speaker phone and got the same results.

So if you're on your first 30 days you should send it back and get another one
