Exclamation LG Venus issue? or am I being hacked into? key selections not made by me...

Is it possible for your cell phone to get 'hacked' into?

Today, I slid open my new LG Venus (recently purchased NEW on Monday, Feb. 25) from the Verizon store, before I get the chance to click the Menu (or any other for that matter) key, it's selected (on it's own, like someone's doing it for me) only thing is I'm home alone.

The selections proceed and select Get It Now and then go to the Music option, for purchasing music & ringtones.

I've restarted my phone (turn completely off, wait a bit and then turn it back on) but the same thing happens....over and over, each time I slide it open. I've watched my fingers to make sure that it's not me touching the screen....all is clear. I even make sure they're not pressing the side buttons and they're not.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it an issue I need to get taken care of. Do I need to exchange my handset?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

sb

That does sound very strange....

I would take the phone back to store and show it to them. If they can fix it, great. If not, they should give you a new phone.

You can also change your mind and get a different phone within the first 30 days.

Thanx, I didn't think it was normal activity, lol.

We'll return it and exchange for a new one. When they were setting it up for me, the screen seemed to not want to work right then....don't know why they didn't exchange it right then...but they did say to keep an eye on it and to bring it back if anything happened. I just wasn't sure if it was an issue of the screen having a 'memory' touch....from say being picked up off the table and your fingers hitting the screen.

I'm sure they'll remember us, we seemed to have taken a long time to choose our phones, lol. We were gone 3 hrs and it's maybe 15 minutes to the Verizon store, lmao.
