I don't know about downgrade but if you go to the Verizon store, they will upgrade the firmware for you for free.

hello admin_mvu,

I saw a thread about how to upgrade / downgrade your firmware on Lg Vx-8300 so I’m wondering if I need to do the same procedure for my Vx8800.

The procedure will be similar but I don't know the motivation behind downgrading the firmware.

Ok, here is the thing. My phone is freak out. Appears on main screen a message “FTM”, I don't know why, and all options is not available, so a friend told me I need to download the firmware so here I am trying to find how to do that.

If you never messed with it, just take it to Verizon store to get the latest firmware. It's the easiest and safest thing to do.

Otherwise, you'll have to get a USB cable, proper drivers, some hacking software to change the firmware, and that's assuming you have the right firmware to begin with. And if you mess it up and can't get back to normal, Verizon wouldn't even touch your phone if they know you've tried to hack it.
