Default My voyager resets.......

This was reported, though i am not sure if its a bug, Voyager with version 5 resets itself each time a photo is taken and deleted.

Basically, the problem is when the photo is taken, saved to the device and then viewed in the photo in "My Photos" the phone resets if the photo is deleted.

Is this a known bug?

This issue has cropped up by a few, they had an issue where certain photos that is TRANSFERED onto the phone would crash during thumbnail generation.
It would only happen when generating the thumbnail......
But they also said that if they were browsing pictures in full screen mode, then the pictures would display without any issues.

It was also reported that they found if the phone's photo editor was used to edit/save the file and then delete the problematic one, it would resolve the issue.

My brother had this problem of the phone reseting every time he viewed a photo/music file or something like that, turns out the music file was bad. You will have to hook the phone up with bitpim and manually delete the photo. If the photo is on the micro-sd card, put the card in the computer and delete that way.

this way teh issuse wont come up...worked with him...

Default squeeky squeeky....

This is a problem that a few have been facing,d oes anyone else notice that the bottom hinge shakes slightly, when the phone is closed that is(it can be felt but you have to hold the bottom - keyboard part of the phone, while shaking gently the top (touch screen) part of the phone near the send/clear buttons),But its observable that the top hinge doesn't? It's very slight and isn't visible, but you can feel and hear it moving.

Though i was not totally convinced that this is a grave and legitimate problem, because it hasn't cropped up much else where,
Though i thought discussing it here would be a good idea to know if any other voyager user is having this problem

I have come across this problem that my friend faces, he uses a voyager, where maps.google.com is not accessible and the phone resets abruptly.
I'm having problems viewing my Google Calendar. I've performed the search suggested to see if my browser is supported and that worked just fine.

does anyone have such a problem..??

Default Voyager to the rescue

Firstly the Voyager has answered to all your problems with the updated firmware, these are the most prominently fixed problems in the voyagers updated firm ware.
So if you have a problem, you just need to have the updated firmware..

these are the issues that are catered to in the updated firmware:

1. Fixed when device goes to maps.google.com, the device resets
2. Mobile Web - HTML browser enhancements
3. Fixed issue with V CAST Music and 4GB+ removable memory read error
4. Update power settings to improve battery life performance
5. Adds ability to reset V CAST Mobile TV client
6. Bluetooth enhancements to audio, pairing, and key tone
7. Fixed to allow Mobile IM on external touch screen

And many more... these are just a few which are significant enough to be mentioned

Default Voyager fixing the pot holes......

You’ll have to take your Voyager to a Verizon store to get the update. Its probably a good idea to call ahead to the store, to make sure they have the update ready to apply when you reach the store for the update.

Now getting into the list of bugs the update fixes,

They made it so that the preview image displayed when you take a picture is the same as the actual picture that’s saved, which was apparently an issue.
Also, the problem with the device resetting when you go to maps.google.com,and other google applications, they fixed that one too.

The mobile web browser received some HTML enhancements,They reduced the number of steps to access the keypad when in a call to one. They fixed the auto lock so that when you turn the auto lock off, the touch screen doesn’t continue to lock.

The issues V CAST was having with memory cards 4GB and larger, that’s fixed, as is the ability to reset the V CAST Mobile TV app, which you can now reset it.

They made it so that the ESPN and Mobile IM apps both work on the external touch screen.

The power settings have been updated to lengthen battery life, and there were enhancements made to Bluetooth which should net you better audio quality, easier pairing, and key tones.

So LG Voyager had a few hiccups but its through and in the league of the iPhone.
Voyager is back with the extra bit, extra juice to compete the market.

So if you ask me, LG voyager still the best buy!!!

I had a recent problem with my voyager but I am not sure if it was just the phone I had or a bug. I was recently loading ESPN MVP and the phone just shut off when I turned it back on the phones memory was completely erased and it wouldnt even allow a call to reprogram it. So I took it back to the veriozon store where they just exchanged it for a new one. (The problem was almost like a harddrive crash on a computer)
