Messaging Question....

Does Verizon charge you when you send a message to someone else? Here's what I'm getting at.

I've been able to send create ringtones and then send them to myself and then it gives you the option to save it as a ringtone. I know it's probably a stupid question but does Verizon charge you to do this even if you send the message (mp3 ringtone) to yourself.

If you don't have a messaging plan then yes, there is a charge for each message you receive which I think is now up to $0.20/message.

You can always check your usage online at verizon website under My Account.

I don't think we have any messaging plans and I sent 3 or 4 txt messages (for ringtones of course) to myself. I looked at my account and for messages it says none sent. Does it not update on the weekends or something because I'd think it would show up immediately! It does say Pix Flix pay for msg $0.00. Does this I do have a plan for that or what? And then it says txt msg per msg charge. I'm confused. It sounds like Pix Flix messages are free but other messages aren't. What's the difference?

It's probably not updated yet. Pix message is where you take a picture with your phone camera and send that picture to someone else's phone. I believe this is little more expensive than sending a text message.

Wait a few days and check your account again. You should see charge for the text messages.
