Default Audio Dropoff; chronic problem

I am having a chronic problem with the VX8350. During a call, there are intermittent periods of up to a minute when I cannot hear the caller. The call is not dropped, but the volume drops so low I cannot understand what is being said. It occurs regardless of location (happening both in SE Austin and on MoPac), regardless of caller (happened on a 611 warranty call) and regardless of output device used (headset, handset, speaker). I have been through 8 phones, and this is still happening.

The store wants to put the current unit on a test bench, but I have no confidence they will actually do this. I think they are looking for a way to get rid of me. Any way I can get the actual data from the test bench diagnostic to see what is going on?

Any ideas/suggestions? They've offered me the VX8700, which is almost out of stock as a replacement, which I'm not happy with.

It sounds like a bad phone. Take the replacement phone. If you don't like VX8700, ask them for a different phone.

I had this problem also at first. But this may fix it for you. goto MENU, SETTINGS & TOOLS, SOUND SETTINGS, 7 VOICE CLARITY, and turn it OFF. If your environment changes from quiet to noisey or back it takes the noise filters a little bit to catch up. With this turned off it doesn't try and should eliminate the voice dropout

The 8360 should be out soon, or if you can't wait, the Chocolate 3 is out, and only like $149. Go for it!
