Changing broken display...

Hello,
My daughter just got a vx8550 and while in her pocket, the display cracked. I ordered a replacement one to replace myself, but am having trouble taking apart. I know there is usually a simple little trick to access, but haven't been able to figure out. Anyone with any info on how to get to the display, please let me know or if you know of any service manuals available online, that would help.

Didn't know you can order a replacement display. Good luck. Worst case, have you considered going to Verizon store for help?

Hi,

Had the same problem with mine, same phone. Took it to Verizon, and in about an hour, they replaced my phone, sent mine back to LG, and transferred my contacts. I'd suggest doing this, your daughter will be excited, and I'd surprise her by telling her to let you take her phone to work with you and bringing a brand-new one home for her.
