No Password for Voice Mail

This makes checking your voicemail extremely easy, but it's not recommended if you're worried about people checking your voicemail from your phone.

1. Menu->Messaging (or from default menu select left soft key (Message)
2. Left Soft Key (settings)
3. All Msg (1)
4. Voicemail # (4)
5. Change the number to *86 then hit the right soft key to select pause and hit 2 to insert a 2-Sec Pause, do this twice then enter your password followed by a # symbol. The final number should look like *86PP<PASSWORD>#

This is a nice feature, especially when you are trying to check the voice mail when you are driving.

Does the Voicemail access have to be *86? Can I use "1" instead of *86, so that "1" is a speed dial to Voicemail?

I believe 1 is always programed for your voicemail so if you want a short cut, you just press 1. The new phones come with #1 already preprogrammed so it doesn't let you change.

However, in above instruction, the phone is going to dial "*86" to get to voicemail and if you put "1" in there, it will dial "1", not "*86".

This also works on a lot of other phones as well, I just did mine last night.
