LG VX 8600

I had the flip chocolate when it first came out and bitpim worked for it, well my first one broke and now it will not work on the phone adn i cannot access the program menu with menu 0000000. Did verizon disable this with a new software/firmware version? and is there any way to fix it? Also ne ideas on release of the prada and a price?
