problem with q9m

have the Q9M, and have had it for a little less than a year with no problems. Yesterday it started getting funky with me. Now i mean, it had been slow to bring up screens once in a while, but last night and all day today its CRAZY slow and freezes. if I try to go to the start menu it takes a good 30 seconds to open, or any other program on the phone. If i lock the keypad and then try to unlock it the phone freezes...cant do anything, include shutting it off. I have to take the battery out and turn it back on.

another issue that started at the same time is when i go to text someone (when i can actually get it to work) all get about halfway through the first line of text and the rest wont show up...the cursor continues to move and once the text sends, everything shows up in the outbox.

anyone have any ideas on what the hell is goin on?

i might just take it back to verizon, should still be under warranty

going through the warranty process may be your best step but with pda phones verizon forces whoever is doing the warranty checkout must reset your phone so you may as well try doing that first and updating your software because that will clear your memory which will probably help your slowness

did a master reset (pressing and holding the center navigation button and power button on powerup) and things seem to work good now. only thing that stinks is that I couldnt backup contacts or any other stuff that wasnt saved to my memory card so i lost it all.
