How to activate / deactivate the modem link on Motorola Q9m

Activating / deactivating the modem link - Motorola Q / Q9m
For Modem Link functionality, software versions: Q2-BP_C_06.07.03P (or later) & MP_BSP_C_02.07.38-11P_HW_P2.1(or later) are required. To verify current version, tap Start> Settings> More...> More...> Phone Settings> Phone Information.

The Motorola Q9m has the appropriate software version.
In order to use BroadbandAccess Connect (tethered mode), the Modem Link must be activated before connecting the device to the PC. To synchronize with ActiveSync or use the phone the Modem Link must be deactivated.

1. From the Today screen, press the left soft key to choose Start.
   
2. Select Accessories then press the center of the 5-way navigational pad.
   
3. Select Modem Link then press the center of the 5-way navigational pad.
   
4. If presented with an Info screen, press the left soft key to choose OK.
   
5. Press the right soft key to choose Activate / Deactivate.
   
6. Connect / disconnect the handheld to the computer via the USB cable then press the left soft key to choose OK.
   
7. Press the left soft key to choose Done.
