Motorola Razr2 plays only videos which are in the 3GP format. The videos captured in the phone are also stored in this format. So if you want to play any video on the phone then the video should be in the 3GP format or must be converted to the 3GP format. There are many file format converters available on internet.

Default Another Error msg - video file doesn't play

I converted my video file to the 3GP format but still it doesn't work. It displays an error message.
I used a video file format converter - 'ImTOO MPEG Encoder'. I used this converter to convert the video file which was formerly in .avi format to .3GP format.
And then loaded it into the phone. This time the file format is recognized by the phone but when the video is played then program terminates abruptly and displays an error message. Something like Bitrate or Framerate too high.

Perhaps as the error message says, the bit rate, frame rate and perhaps the sample rate is too high for the video to be played on the resolution of the mobile phone display.

While converting the .avi file to .3GP file make sure you use the following attributes for the destination file.

Bit rate : 191kbps
Frame rate : 14.24 fps
Video codec : h263
Video size : 176*144
Audio Bit rate : 96kbps
Sample rate : 8000hz
Channels : mono

These are also the attributes of the video files created in your phone in case of a captured video in your phone.Try it.
