Default Motorola's Razr MAXX - Pre Release

A Motorola PR image depicting a RAZR MAXX with a Verizon logo on it has leaked out of the company today, indicating that as with the RAZR and KRZR, Motorola is producing CDMA versions of this new high end clamshell. Although the photo appears to be a composite, Phone Scoop can confirm its authenticity. The MAXX was introduced in July as a new 3G folder with touch sensitive external music controls. The model that was originally shown off featured HSDPA, a QVGA screen, MicroSD card slot and 2 Megapixel camera. The Verizon version shown in the photo labels the camera as a 2 Megapixel autofocus model and shows a much larger flash. It is unclear whether the Verizon MAXX will inherit other features such as the QVGA screen from the UMTS version.

This was the generic picture released. it wasn't until the picture with the logo was leaked that anyone outside of vzw or moto knew where this phone was heading.

That's a cool looking phone.

However, does anybody else feel that Motorola is really milking the RAZR?

I went to CTIA show earlier this year and Motorola had a huge booth, but it was all RAZR, PEBL, and SLVR. The entire floor was full of those 3 types of phones only.

I know what you mean but the RAZR V3X is huge overseas but since its a GSM phone its never worked here unless you bought it unlocked and put it on tmobile or cinglebar's nework. The MAXX is supposed to be the X for the american market.

but with that being said, i do think they overplay the razr, but it is literally the world's best selling cell phone so i'd probably do the same thing. Give the people what they want
