Default How to use MP3 as ringtone on Motorola RIZR Z6tv

In order for an MP3 to show up in the ringtone directory it must meet the following characteristics:

    — or —
  • A bit rate or 128 kbps, and no greater than 30 seconds in length

I tried this and all that happens is the 30 second clip gets put in to the vcast music section. It doesn't show up in my ringtones at all.

I tried a 30 second clip at 128kbps and a 30 second clip at a 64kbps. Each time it shows up in the Vcast "My Music" folder and there's no option to move it either.

Well before we go any further what programs am I supposed to be using because.....

In retrospect I've been using Vcast Music Manager which is obviously only to transfer music.

You are right, the Music VCast Manager is only for transferring music.

Do you have bitpim program?

I do not have bitpim, however I do know what it is.

Will it void my warranty to use it?

If they found out, maybe. You do have to be careful with messing with menus that the manufacturer don't want you to. But, that's the whole thing about putting your own MP3 as ringtone instead of the ones that the Verizon sells you.
