How to transfer files from my computer to Motorola RIZR Z6's memory card

You can access your phone's memory card with a PC and move / copy compatible files to it, or from it.
There are two steps to this process:
Setting up the Phone, and connecting and transferring between the computer.
Note: When your phone is connected to a computer, you can access the memory card only through the computer.
To set up on your phone:

• Press the Center Select Key
• Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Settings, and Press the Center Select Key
• Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Connection, and Press the Center Select Key
• Use the Navigation Key to scroll to USB Settings, and Press the Center Select Key
• Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Default Connection, and Press the Center Select Key
• Use the Navigation Key to scroll to Memory Card, and Press the Center Select Key

Once you have completed the above steps attach the Motorola Original USB cable to the accessory port on your phone and to an available USB port on your computer.
Then on your computer:
Find where your phone's memory card displays as a "Removable Disk " icon
On a PC this is the "My Computer" window
On a Mac it's on the desktop
Double-click the "Removable Disk" icon to access the files on your phone's memory card
To store the desired files onto the memory card, drag and drop them as follows:
MP3 files: mobile/audio
Screen savers: mobile/picture
Wallpapers: mobile/picture
Video clips: mobile/vide

Hello - I have been trying to get my Z6tv to connect to my computer so that I can have access to my Micro SD memory card. Unfortunately, I do not have a "Connection" setting in my Settings & Tools menu. In fact, there is nothing on the phone that suggests a USB connection setting. The software version on my phone is PARS_01.16.0C - which I assume is up-to-date given the newness of the phone. Definitely frustrating since I would like to start synchronizing files onto my phone

(Note: when I plug in the phone to the computer, it recognizes the phone and says "hardware ready for use" - but there is nothing that shows up on My Computer. I am assuming it is because of the USB connection not being tied to memory - which as mentioned above, doesn't seem to exist in the Settings & Tools menu).

Any help/ideas anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

i'm having the same issue as you. it appears the instructions above are for a different version of the rizr, maybe the z6. anyways, would be nice to figure this out with the z6tv model, since it's obviously different.

To put MP3 music on, do the following.

Plug in your USB cable.

Click the Center button to bring up the menu. Go to the "GET IT NOW" Menu.

Select "1. Music & Tones"

Under this menu, select "6. Sync Music". Your PC will detect your phone.

On the MOTORIZR Z6TV screen, it should show "Initializing" and "Connecting".

On your PC, the device will be detected as a "Portable Device". If Windows pops up a screen that it was detected, choose "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer". Otherwise, you should see an icon "V CAST Mobile Phone" in "My Computer" desktop shortcut. It appears as a Portable Media Player as the Type.

This will then allow you to select either the removable card or the internal memory. Open up one folder, and you'll see a "Music" directory. Drag/drop your MP3's now! To play, go back to the "Music & Tones" menu, and select "4. My Music".
