Question Disable EVDO - What do I lose?

I want to do whatever I can to increase the battery life of my new W755.

I've read turning off EVDO will help.
I have no intention of using VCAST to download music, ringtones, video, etc.

However I do want to occasionally surf the web.

Will turning off EVDO hamper web surfing?
Aside from VCAST, what else will turning off EVDO do?

Thanks.

EVDO is only used for data transmission so it won't affect your voice conversation.

Vcast and Web browsing does use EVDO so if you disable it, you'll notice that it will be slower.

I don't plan on surfing that much, so I think I'll disable it.
I read that there is a way to disable EVDO through Moto Phone Tools - is that true?

Every phone is different. LG has secret service menu that you can enter by going menu + 0000 or something like that. I don't know about Motorola.
