Default W755 Screen Shattered! HELP!!!!!!

Hi,

My dad has a Motorola W755 (Black Slate) that is approx. 1yr old. Today he dropped it and the whole front (glass?) panel shattered. However, the front screen is still intact and still works, however it looks shattered and the touch controls don't light up and won't work. Oh, and the camera cover that says 1.3 MP is missing and fell off. He has TEC (Total Equipment Coverage- $5.00/mo). What should he- and I- do? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Go to Verizon and they will replace with either exact same phone, or something equivalent if the same phone is not available.

That's what you pay the insurance for.

For me, I never signed up for the insurance. So far I've been lucky that I've never broken a phone but I also keep the old phones after upgrade so in case something like this happen, at least I have a back up that can last me until my next upgrade time.

Glad to hear he got a working phone again.

Those "refurnished phones" are the phones that people return within the 30 days when they change their mind and pay $35 stocking fee. Then, VZW also collects $5 per month for the insurance. It works out good for them.

But couldn't they also be previously-broken phones that were repaired and sent back for them to sell to customers with broken phones? I believe the replacement Glyde I got was new, because there is no round white sticker (my dad's says 06/09) under the battery in my phone.
