Unhappy Battery Cover

I've had my phone for all of 2 weeks. I bought 5 of them with packages. Because they had no leather cases, they gave me topless holsters for all the phones. At some point, my battery cover came off and is now missing. (No clue when it came off) I went to Verizon, and they will not replace it. They gave me Nokia's number, and Nokia told me this model is no longer produced and replacement parts are not available. I have been googling this for 4 days now, with no success. Does anyone know where replacement parts can be found for the 6315i? Even if I have to buy an extended life battery that includes a cover, I'll do that. If anyone has a damaged 6315i they'd like to sell, that would work too. My only option now is to pay verizon the $50 deductible to get a new one.

Even though the label says it's Nokia, this phone is actually designed and manufactured by Pantech.

I would say if you only had your phone for two weeks now i would take it back to the store and tell them you want to exchange it since you have so many days to do that.

Tried that. As this was not a manufacturer defect, they wouldn't help me. Nokia was the same. Finally called and put in an insurance claim today. They are sending a new phone (I have to pay $50 deductible). I'll pay the $22 non-return fee so that I have a back-up phone. Still makes me mad that I had to fork out $75 for a damn battery cover.

I knew (after googling all week) that this was a Pantech phone, but still no luck in finding a cover. Next time I get phones, I will do a little research first.

I guess it's too late now, but have you tried looking for a used one from eBay?
