Does VZ Navigator Use your Minutes?

I was thinking of downloading VZ Navigator and using it on my trip to South Carolina (From NY). I am on the Family Share Select plan and was wondering if it uses your minutes while connected to VZ Navigator, or is it just a subscription fee? Also if you exit the program while on a long stretch of Road do you have to re enter the destination and other info if you restart it?

VZ Navigator has its own fees (daily or monthly) and doesn't use your voice minutes.

If you turn it off, you'll have to enter some of the information again (you won't have to type the whole address again, you can choose recent destinations)

One advice: bring a car charger if you plan to use it. Since the LCD display stays on during the entire trip, you'll burn battery very quickly.

The daily rate is $2.99/24 hours so order it when you need it.
