I see people all the time that say they can't get it to work, that they start the program and the phone says it can't locate them. every time i hear this their location is turned to e911 only instead of on. make sure that the cross hair looking thing on your screen has waves like this ))) coming off of it. if you don't than navigator wont work and you have to go through the settings, find location, and turn it to ON

I believe this setting is there for a very good reason - many paranoid people do not like being "tracked" so when E911 mode only is on, the GPS is used and it's only used when someone dials 911 so the emergency operator will know where you are. When you are using the Navigation feature, obviously the GPS needs to be on and the system needs to know where you are.

i'll i know is i had to drive from Tampa to Marietta, GA last week and i would have gotten owned had i not activated VZNavigator on my phone.
