Tranferring .wav files

My mom has a Samsung Gleam and she does not like any of the ringtones that came with the phone (she says they are all too loud and sound like everyone elses) . I made her a couple of mellower ones at home, but I am unable to transfer the .wav files via bluetooth or SD card (the gleam stops the transfers and does not even recognize my SD card). Any advice on how I can transfer the files to my mom's phone? I would like to avoid reformatting my SD card if I can since it works fine in my Samsung Sync.

I think Verizon ships phones with crappy default ringtones so people will be forced to pay and buy ringtones to have something decent.

I'm not sure what format Samsung Gleam takes. Have you tried .mp3 or .qcp?
