Question Upload Photo From My Computer to Phone

I just bought this phone yesterday, and didn't really give it enough thought (the Motorola I'd had for 2 years suddenly stopped working, and it was time to trade in, anyway).

I've looked at the wallpapers available on the Verizon site, and there just aren't enough of them. I found a web site to convert my favorite photo to the right size for the phone, and I could easily access the photo at the URL provided. I just couldn't figure out how to save it to my phone. I saved it from their web site to my hard drive, but that puts me back to square one.

Is there a way that I can upload photographs from my computer to the Samsung Gleam? Sorry to be so dense, but I don't see any mention of this in the owner's manual. Maybe it's just too basic a phone for this?

You won't find it on the user's manual since Verizon wants you to pay for their wallpapers to be downloaded to your phone.

Others have figured out ways to put their own ringtones and wallpapers to their phone without Verizon's help and thus not paying anything for it.

Either, you'll need to have an SD card or a USB cable that connects to your phone. Then use the program like bitpim to access your phone's internal memory and add your ringtones or wallpapers. Browse around this forum to see how others are doing it on other phones.

BTW, which website did you use to resize your wallpapers?

I just downloaded BitPim and it has no support for the Gleam. Only for most of the other Samsung phones.

Does any other program perform these sorts of functions?

There is another program that other Samsung phone owners use. I forgot the name. Browse around the Samsung phone area. Some type of "sync".

if you know your screen size, make your wallpaper and you can e mail it to your phone and the save it from there also.

Then go to your pictures and set it as wallpaper

You can find out the size of your wallpaper for your phone here.

Size of wallpapers for your phone

The e-mailing of the picture to your phone used to work but it has been disabled on some of the phones.
