Default Samsung Gleam Exchange

Hi, I'm new to these forums and could not find the answer to my question elsewhere. I have the Samsung gleam and have had it for about 4 months. Every once in a while the vibrate on my phone will stop working. After a while of trying to get the vibrate to work the phone will make a weird noise and the vibrate will work again. This has caused me to miss important calls, texts, and even sleep in too late b/c the vibrate on the alarm clock did not work. I don't have the extra insurance on my phone. What I am wondering is if I call Verizon and complain, will they allow me to put the price of the Gleam towards another phone (may be more or less expensive). Frankly, I am not to pleased with the Gleam and it's features. So would Verizon allow me to switch phones and pay the difference in the price??? Thanks for the help.

Moved it to Samsung Gleam section.

I've heard different stories from people who have complained about their phone. Sometimes, they will give you a refurbished version of the same phone. Sometimes, they'll give you a cheap brand new phone, or give you a nicer phone at discount. You'll have to call Verizon to find out. My friend tells me he usually calls the help line to cancel the service to complain, which they are more willing to do something to keep you from leaving Verizon. But, you run the risk of really canceling the whole service if they call your bluff.

Haha, yeah I've been thinking about bluffing. I called Verizon today and they told me that since the warranty comes from Samsung, they can't get me a new phone. So now I'm going to try and contact Samsung and try and get the Glyde, which I believe is less expensive.
